Coffee, Big Dreams, and the Husband Who Made It

Two Mugs and a Really Good Morning

He made the coffee. That's the part that gets me — and honestly, it's not even surprising anymore because he always has. Every single time we have coffee together, he's always been the one who makes it. Without being asked, without making a big deal out of it. Just two mugs ready on the table. ☕💗

This time it was his gray ceramic mug in front and my little pink flower mug behind it. Such a small thing, but it never stops feeling like being taken care of in the quietest, most ordinary way. And I think that's my love language, honestly. The consistency of it — knowing that every coffee moment we've ever shared, he's already thought of me first. 🥰

We sat down together and just... talked. No distractions, no rush. It felt like a proper date, except we were in our own kitchen in our pambahay.

Sometimes the best conversations happen over coffee you didn't have to make yourself — and mine never has had to be.

Dreaming Out Loud Together

We talked about a lot of things — the kind of things that usually get pushed aside when life is loud and busy. Our goals. Our finances. What we actually want for our family in the next few years. ✨

It felt good to say it all out loud. Like making it real.

A few things we talked about:

  • Saving more intentionally as a family
  • Our dream travel destinations (we have a list and it is growing 🌸)
  • The kind of future we want to build — together, on purpose

I don't always make time for these kinds of conversations and I should. Because sitting across from him, mid-morning, mugs in hand, reminded me that we're a team. Not just co-parents running the same household schedule — actual partners with actual shared dreams. 💕

Still My Favorite Person to Make Plans With

I took a selfie of us after because I wanted to remember it. Not the big gesture, not a special occasion — just a random morning that ended up meaning a lot. 🌼

We've got big plans. We're figuring out the savings, mapping out where we want to go, talking about what kind of life we're working toward. It's not perfect and it's not always easy, but mornings like this remind me why we're doing it. 💗

Also — the coffee was really good. It always is, because he always makes it for me. Always has, always will. He did great. He always does. 😅✨
