Sunday mornings in our family don't come with slow starts. By the time we're all dressed and loading into the car β€” Koykoy squirming into his seat, Olivia with her little headband already slipping, Kuya in the back grinning, hubby behind the wheel β€” the day already feels full before it even begins ✨. And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Church First, Always πŸ’—

We love going to church as a family. I really believe it helps shape us β€” our mindset, our hearts, how we treat each other through the week. The kids are growing up seeing that Sunday mornings are for God first, and I think that's something worth protecting πŸ™.

Barbershop Boys ✨

After service, we headed straight to the barbershop β€” Rocky's Barbershop, right there in the mall. First up: Koykoy. My five-year-old sat in that big barber chair like he owns the place πŸ˜…. Super calm, super chill β€” because my hubby has been taking him since he first started getting his hair cut. That consistency really shows. No drama, no tears, just a little boy patiently watching himself in the mirror while the barber worked.

The way Koykoy just sat there so still and calm β€” that's all his daddy's doing. Hubby's been with him every single time since day one. πŸ’•

Then it was Kuya's turn. Olivia couldn't resist β€” she pressed her little hands against the glass window while she waited, just watching her kuya get his cut πŸ₯°. These little moments, I swear.

Vendo Machine + KFC for Lunch πŸ—

After the barbershop, the kids spotted the vendo machine and β€” of course β€” we had to stop. Hubby assisted them while they seriously studied every item behind the glass like they were choosing the most important thing in the world πŸ˜‚. It's always the little pit stops like this that make them so happy.

Lunch was at KFC β€” the classic Sunday choice πŸ—. The table was full:

  • 🍝 KFC spaghetti (the kids' non-negotiable)
  • πŸ— Fried chicken, of course
  • πŸ₯£ Mashed potato and gravy
  • πŸ§ƒ Drinks all around for the whole crew

Kuya and I grabbed a quick selfie before the food was gone πŸ˜„, and I love how Koykoy is literally just standing in the background, already at the food table doing his thing. That boy does not wait for anyone.

Hubby was busy making sure Olivia and Koykoy were settled at their little table β€” that man is always the one arranging everyone's food, making sure nobody's cup is empty. I notice these things πŸ’—.

Olivia's David Salon Moment 🌼

After lunch, we split up for a bit β€” hubby stayed with Olivia and Koykoy at David Salon so Olivia could get her hair cut too, while Kuya and I sneaked off for our matcha run. I love that my hubby just handles it. He waited with them, kept them calm, kept things moving. That's partnership right there ✨.

And Olivia β€” she is not a first-timer, this girl has been to the salon before. She knows the routine. Wrapped in her salon towel, sitting in front of that big mirror, smiling at her own reflection like she's the most confident little person in the room πŸ₯°. And honestly? She is. Ate Olivia is just so cute, I can't.

Matcha to End the Day β˜•

While hubby held down the salon, Kuya and I made our way to the matcha stall β€” and oh my, it was so good 😍. Kuya loves matcha and honestly, same. We grabbed our drinks and just enjoyed that quiet little moment together, just the two of us for a few minutes while the rest of the crew was occupied.

There's something about a Sunday afternoon matcha with your eldest that hits different ✨. He's growing up so fast and I treasure these little pockets of one-on-one time.

At the end of the day, driving home β€” everyone full, freshly cut, a little tired β€” I just felt so grateful. It was a full day. A really, really full day. Church, haircuts, a vendo machine detour, KFC, David Salon, and matcha. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive. Just our family doing our Sunday thing together πŸ’—.

These are the days I want to remember. These ordinary, busy, loud, beautiful Sundays. ❀
